Glenn Hirsch, the Briarwood man accused of murdering food deliveryman Zhiwen Yan on April 30, has been found dead of an apparent suicide, according to the Daily News and other published reports.

Hirsch had been scheduled to appear in Court today, Aug. 5, for pretrial matters on second-degree murder and other charges.

The man accused of stalking a Chinese food delivery man and shooting him to death on a Forest Hills street has been released on $500,000 bail.

Glenn Hirsch, 51, of Briarwood, has been placed on house arrest and has been fitted with an ankle monitor, according to a statement from the office of Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.

Friends and former customers — some people were both — have been mourning Zhiwen Yan, 45, the Chinese food delivery man who was shot and killed last Saturday night in Forest Hills while making his rounds. 

Police are continuing their hunt for his killer. The Elmhurst resident left behind a wife and three children, ages 14, 12 and 2. A pair of GoFundMe fundraisers has raised more than $140,000 for the family.
