The NYPD is asking the public’s assistance in locating the suspect in a slashing that took place in the 21st Street-Queensbridge subway station in Long Island City on Dec. 12.

According to the 114th Precinct and Transit District 20, the attack took place at about 9:15 p.m. when a 28-year-old woman got into a verbal dispute with a male acquaintance. Transit District 20, with its headquarters in Briarwood, patrols all subways in Queens except the A line.

Mayor Adams and NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell on Saturday afternoon made the 103rd Precinct in Jamaica one of the first stops of Adams’ mayoralty.

Adams had planned the visit, though his schedule had an unanticipated detour to a hospital in Harlem on Saturday morning when an off-duty police officer was shot in the parking lot of the 25th Precinct.

A Brooklyn man was sentenced to 33 years in prison for aggravated manslaughter and robbery following a 2019 incident that resulted in the death of NYPD 102nd Precinct Detective Brian Simonsen, District Attorney Melinda Katz’s Office announced last Wednesday.

On Feb. 12, 2019, Christopher Ransom, 30, and a co-defendant attempted to rob the AT&T store on the corner of 120th Street and Atlantic Avenue. Ransom ordered the two employees inside a room and demanded they surrender cash and merchandise, according to court records.

The number of vaccinated NYPD employees increased to 85 percent following Friday’s deadline to get at least one dose or face unpaid leave starting today. 

“We think we're in really, really strong shape here,” said NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea during a press conference today. “Members of the Police Department responded to this, they came to work as they always do, and there is literally no effect on service at this point.” 

The NYPD is seeking the public’s help in  locating two men who committed a street robbery in Rego Park on Oct. 1.

Police in the 112th Precinct said the incident took place at about 3:15 a.m. at the intersection of Queens Boulevard and 63rd Drive when the victim was approached by two men. One placed a hard object against the victim’s body and demanded his property. The pair then took an iPhone, AirPods and a fanny pack. They fled into the subway station at 63rd Drive in Rego Park — both caught on video avoiding the fare.

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the man wanted for a robbery and assault that occurred within the confines of the 104th Precinct.

Police said the incident took place at about 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30 at the intersection of Bleeker Street and Fresh Pond Road in Ridgewod. The male victim was walking when an unknown individual riding a black bicycle approached him.
