Around 200 people streamed into Jackson Heights’ Diversity Plaza last Thursday evening for a multicultural event fit for the World’s Borough.
A “Flic Nic,” a free outdoor film screening showcasing a series of international dramas, documentaries and other genres, was organized by the Queens World Film Festival and sponsored by the Jackson Heights Beautification Group in partnership with Suhki NY and Friends of Diversity Plaza.
There were films from nations such as Bangladesh and Spain, as well as projects created and filmed right here in Queens.
The next events will be held July 30, Aug. 13 and Aug. 27. Films begin at dusk. For details, visit queensworldfilmfestival.com.
