Tony Modica, ‘Mr. Pizza Dance’ Visits Children At PS 108

Once again, Tony Modica, ambassador of the “Pizza Dance,” came through for the Ozone Park community. Through the efforts of Marie Biondollilo, principal, and Ms. Rosa, parent coordinator of Public School 108, the Captain Vincent G. Fowler School, Modica participated in their “Reading Is Fun” program and read aloud activities.

Modica read to the children and emphasized the importance of knowing how to read and becoming a responsible citizen.

Modica is dedicated to his community and has adopted PS 108 as his way of giving back to the community. Biondollilo has said Modica has never turned down one of her requests. He has encouraged PS 108’s students to read and has supported a 25 book campaign through a pizza party.

Modica tells the children to stay in school and get a good education, respect your parents, respect your teachers, respect the law, and most of all, stay away from drugs and have a slice of pizza instead. And, of course, do the “Pizza Dance.”

You can come visit with Modica at La Bella Vita Ristorante and Catering Hall, 106-09 Rockaway Boulevard, Ozone Park, open seven days a week, 11 a.m.- 9:30 p.m. Open any time for private parties. For more information or to book your next event, call 718-855-6161.
