Park ranger’s gun & badge stolen: cops 1

This 40-caliber gun, along with ammunition, a pair of handcuffs and federal identification, was stolen from a U.S. Parks Service ranger’s car in Howard Beach.

Police are trying to find the man who broke into a U.S. Parks Service ranger’s car and stole a gun and identification from the victim’s gym bag.

The incident took place Oct. 26 at 5 p.m. in the LA Fitness shopping center at 133-40 97 St. in Howard Beach.

The victim’s Sig Sauer DAK-229 40-caliber gun and ammunition, along with a pair of handcuffs and USPS identification — badge number 780 — were taken from the gym bag.

No physical description of the suspect, who was caught on surveillance camera, was provided by police.
