A still-on-the-loose man shot at parked cars on the street near a playground and public school in Woodhaven early last Saturday morning, according to the 102nd Precinct.
Several Woodhaven residents reported hearing gunshots near 90th Street and 91st Avenue around 4 a.m. April 7.
The intersection is located near PS 60 and Equity Park.
A 102nd Precinct officer told the Chronicle the shots were fired by a man looking to hit vehicles on the street, and that two cars were struck by a bullet.
“No humans were the intended target,” the officer said. “Nobody was injured.”
The area around the playground has been a gang and drug hot spot in recent years, but neither appear to be connected to the shooting.
“It doesn’t look like it’s gangs or drugs at this time,” the officer told the Chronicle.
Detectives with the 102nd Precinct are combing through surveillance videos and hope to release a wanted poster in the coming days, the officer said.
