An 18-year-old skateboarder died in the Woodhaven section of Forest Park Sunday after he collided with a city Parks Department truck, police said.

According to cops, Ron Tavarez, of Ridgewood, was heading southbound on Forest Parkway when he collided with the city-operated 2006 Ford truck at Park Lane South. The truck, police said, was going westbound on Park Lane South.

The 37-year-old operator of the vehicle remained at the scene and has not been charged with any wrongdoing in connection with the accident, police said. Tavarez was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was declared dead.
