What Koslowitz got for ‘yes’ vote on jail 1
With the plan to close Rikers Island and shift to four borough-based jails, including one in Kew Gardens, moving ahead, Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz says she supported the plan because she wouldn’t have had input with Mayor de Blasio if she opposed it. The area will receive incentives in return, she said.
