The NYPD is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly used a credit card stolen from a car in the 105th Precinct in Eastern Queens.

Police said the victim went to his car at about 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 12 to discover his wallet, containing credit cards, was missing from the glove compartment.

The victim did not recall if he had locked the vehicle, but reported no damage.

Police investigating the case discovered later that day that an unidentified man shown in the accompanying photograph made “numerous purchases” at a number of liquor stores using the victim’s credit card. The photo was taken at a store located at 188-03 Union Tpke. in Fresh Meadows.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1 (888) 57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit tips by logging onto nypdcrimestoppers.com, or by texting 274637 (CRIMES), then entering TIP577.

All tips are strictly confidential.
