Ride from Bayside to Bay Ridge on 8/17

A free, fun bicycle ride from Bayside to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn on Saturday, Aug. 17 will be hosted by Transportation Alternatives, Bike South Brooklyn and Queens Greenway.

Cyclists in South Brooklyn will meet in McKinley Park at Bay Ridge Parkway and Seventh Avenue at 8 a.m.

Cyclists in Queens will meet at the Unisphere in Flushing Meadows at 11 a.m. The two groups will eat lunch together there and ride to the Throgs Neck Bridge in Little Bay Park.

At 12:30 p.m., they will set off for Bay Ridge, using the Brooklyn-Queens Greenway path. The cyclists are expected to arrive in Bay Ridge at 3:30 p.m. They will pose for photos in front of the Verrazzano Bridge and spend some time in a neighborhood venue.

The Baysiders will ride home at 5 p.m.
