The NYPD is offering rewards in a pair of shootings that resulted in three deaths in the 105th Precinct in August.

Rewards of up to $2,500 have been authorized for information in the Aug. 20 shooting of Angel Nixon, 18, of Jamaica; and the Aug. 26 shooting that claimed the lives of Antoine Folkes, 23, and Marcellus Shields, 22, both of St. Albans.

The information was posted last Thursday, Aug. 29, on the 105th Precinct’s Twitter site.

Nixon, of 220th Street in Jamaica, was found at approximately 12:30 a.m. in front of 145-04 176 St. in Springfield Gardens by officers from the NYPD’s 105th Precinct as they responded to a 911 call reporting that a man had been shot.

Nixon, who police said had been attending a party nearby, was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center with wounds to his head, torso and one leg. He was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.

The reward poster states that he was shot by two unknown perpetrators.

Police said Folkes and Shields were sitting in a gray Kia at approximately 9:20 p.m. in front of 149-58 225 St. in Rosedale when they were shot multiple times by a driver who passed their vehicle and doubled back before opening fire.

Both men were unconscious and unresponsive when first responders arrived. They were pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel.

The NYPD has not yet made any arrests in the case.

Published reports have stated that police were investigating a possible link between their deaths and a shooting in the 113th Precinct six hours earlier that killed 21-year-old David Hutchinson.

Hutchinson was found by officers who responded to a 911 call at 3:47 p.m. in the vicinity of Springfield Boulevard and 140th Ave. in Springfield Gardens.

He had been shot multiple times and was transported by EMS personnel to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The Daily News cited police sources as saying that the incidents may have been gang-related and that police had been looking to speak with Folkes in connection with Hutchinson’s shooting.

Anyone with information in the identities or whereabouts of the shooters is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1 (888) 57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit tips by logging onto nypdcrimestoppers.com, or by texting 274637 (CRIMES), then entering TIP577.
