Police are looking for these violent robbers

Punching faces, displaying knives to get backpacks, phones and cash

Police are asking the public for assistance in finding two men who are responsible for a half-dozen violent July robberies in the 110th and 115th precincts in Queens, all but one in Corona.

On July 4 at approximately 3:20 a.m. the two men approached their 44-year-old victim in front of 37-50 Junction Blvd., displayed a knife and forcibly removed the victim’s backpack, valued at around $50. The suspects fled eastbound on 39th Avenue. No injuries were reported.

Three days later, around 11:15 p.m., the two men approached a 68-year-old victim at 34th Avenue and 112th Street. The men struck him in the face and forcibly removed $100 from his pants pocket. The suspects fled westbound on 34th Avenue. The victim refused medical attention at the scene.

On July 20 at approximately 4 a.m. the two men approached a 22-year-old victim from behind on Corona Avenue between 102nd and 103rd streets. The men punched the victim numerous times and forcibly removed approximately $120, a cell phone and a wallet. The man sustained a laceration to his left hand and the right side of head and was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst for evaluation.

About 45 minutes later, the two men approached a 36-year-old in front 103-06 39 Ave. and asked for $2. When the man complied, the suspects restrained the victim from behind and forcibly removed approximately $100, a black wallet and a cell phone. The men fled eastbound on 39th Avenue toward 104th Street. No injuries were reported.

The following day at 3:40 a.m. the suspects approached a 32-year-old at Roosevelt Avenue and Willets Point Boulevard in Flushing. The men knocked the victim to the ground, displayed a knife, punched the victim in the face multiple times and forcibly removed the victim’s wallet from his pants pocket containing approximately $600. The men fled in an unknown direction. The victim refused medical attention.

On July 24, at approximately 1:15 a.m. the suspects approached a 47-year-old in front of 37-52 104 Street. The suspects punched and kicked the victim in the face and torso, forcibly removed the victim’s backpack, cell phone and wallet containing $100. The men fled southbound toward 104th Street and 39th Avenue. The victim sustained a laceration to the face and was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst in stable condition.

Police say one suspect is a man in his late teens to early 20s, with an Afro. He was last seen wearing ripped jeans, a light-colored T-shirt, sneakers and a backpack.

The other suspect is described as a male in his late teens to early 20s. He was last seen wearing shorts, a T-shirt with the word “POLO” on it and a baseball hat.
