One man stabbed another in Sunnyside last weekend, and police are asking the public to help them find the perpetrator.

The incident occurred a little after 12:30 a.m. Nov. 2 near the corner of Queens Boulevard and 42nd Street, the NYPD said, when the stabber and a 27-year-old man were engaged in an argument that turned physical. The perpetrator stabbed the victim twice and then fled the scene.

The victim was taken by Emergency Medical Services to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst. Police did not specify his condition.

The stabber is described as a dark-skinned male with light facial hair in his mid-30s. He was last seen wearing a green jacket, black pants and black backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1 (888) 57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit tips by logging onto nypdcrimestoppers.com, or by texting 274637 (CRIMES), then entering TIP577. All tips are strictly confidential.
