Nearby Jamaica residents, Queens commuters or visitors just off the JFK AirTrain from parts unknown can now grab a quick cup of coffee or something fancier with the formal opening of the Dunkin’ Donuts shop on Sutphin Boulevard across the street from the main entrance to the Long Island Rail Road’s Jamaica Station.

It is the second tenant in The Shops at Station Plaza.

Joining in the festivities on May 31 were Inspector Peter Fortune, top left, commanding officer of the NYPD’s 103rd Precinct; Mary Reda, director of real property operations for the Greater Jamaica Development Corp.; Brandon Henry, operations manager of Dunkin’ Brands; Ellen Young, senior advisor to Assemblyman Ron Kim; shop owner Farina Wang; U.S. Rep. Gregory Meeks; GJDC CEO and President Hope Knight; Glenn Greenidge, executive director of the Sutphin Boulevard Business Improvement District; Yvonne Reddick, district manager of Community Board 13; and Vanessa Pino Lockel, government and community affairs liaison for the LIRR.
