  Homeowners should never have been fined for this damage in the first place. City's trees, City's responsibility. The City wouldn't allow you to trim or remove the offending tree, so why should the homeowner be responsible for the damage the tree causes?

  It's about time. The city plants these trees then make us responsible. BULLSHIT!! And I should also be able to sue the city for destroying my 2 evergreens that are on MY property that I have trimmed every year. Their tree trimmers are supposed to trim trees on city property but they cut my 2 trees so poorly they have never recovered and I fear they may topple over.
