Do you speak both English and another language fluently? You’re in Queens; chances are pretty good that you do! And now you can both cash in and do something of civic value with that knowledge.

The city is seeking interpreters to deploy at polling places on both primary day, Sept. 13, and Election Day, Nov. 6. Those hired can make up to $460 for completing training and working both days. You also can work on just one day.

To qualify, you must be at least 18 and a city resident willing and able to travel to your assigned poll site. To learn more or to apply, contact Brian Rose of the Borough President’s Office at (718) 730-7804 or brose@boe.nyc.
