The office of Councilman Daneek Miller (D-St. Albans) is asking residents of the 27th Council District to submit ideas for projects that could be funded in the next round of participatory budgeting.

Miller’s office will have up to $1 million in the next cycle that can be used for one or more capital improvement projects in the community. Residents will vote on the plans later in the process with the winners going forward sometime afterward.

Suggestions can be made online at http://ideas.pbnyc.org/page/about or by filling out cards that are available at Miller’s district office or at events in the community where the councilman or his staff are present.

Past projects have included new computers and other technology upgrades at district schools, planting of trees on Linden Boulevard and tech upgrades for libraries in the district.

Miller’s district includes all or parts of Cambria Heights, Hollis, Jamaica, St. Albans, Queens Village and Springfield Gardens. His office is located at 172-12 Linden Blvd. The phone number is (718) 776-3700.
