New York City Parks Commissioner Mitchell Silver, center, helped cut the ribbon at the recent reopening of the renovated tennis courts at Brookville Park in Laurelton.

The office of Councilman Donovan Richards, fourth from left, said the courts were part of a $3.1 million makeover — $2.8 million from Richards’ office — for the park which includes the picnic area, new barbecue grills, accessible picnic tables and new paving, plantings and landscaping.

Other attendees included state Sen. James Sanders Jr., fourth from right, and Mark McMillan, the district manager of Community Board 13.

Welcome to the discussion.
