Man sought for questioning in bus attack

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man wanted for questioning in an attack on a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus driver on the evening of Friday, Dec. 14.

According to police, the incident took lace at 8:38 p.m. when a man boarded a bus at Merrick Boulevard and 220th Street at the Cambria Heights-Laurelton border and demanded a free ride. When the driver refused, the man punched him in the face multiple times before running away northbound on Merrick Boulevard.

The person wanted for questioning is described as a black male, approximately 20 to 24 years old, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 185 pounds. Police said he was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, blue sweatpants with white stripes going down the sides and white sneakers.
