Breast Cancer walk in Flushing Meadows Corona Park

Eleventh- and twelfth-graders from Hillcrest High School in Jamaica took part in the recent Breast Cancer Walk in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. The event was coordinated by Health Careers teacher Ms. Ann Utke. The students received community volunteer hours for participating. About $100.00 was raised by the students. Parent Coordinator Ms. Bilquees Akhtar was also present at the event.

School service

In the student government office at Hillcrest are three students doing school service with the Senior Class Advisor Ms. Haydee Recinos, right. The students are Senior Class President Jeannick Guzman, left, Natasha Persaud and

Angely Martinez. Hillcrest High School students are

expected to perform 100 hours of school or community service prior to graduation.
