A published report states police are investigating a possible link between three shooting deaths within six hours in a pair of incidents in Southeast Queens last Monday.

David Hutchinson, 21, was found by officers from the NYPD’s 113th Precinct who responded to a 911 call at 3:47 in the vicinity of Springfield Boulevard and 140th Ave. in Springfield Gardens.

He had been shot multiple times and was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

At 8:24 that evening, officers from the 105th Precinct responded to a 911 call to the corer of 149th Drive and 255th Street in laurelton, where Antoine Folkes, 23, and Marcellus Shields, 22,  both of St. Albans, had been shot multiple times while siting in a car. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Daily News cited police sources as saying that the incidents may have been gang-related and that police had been looking to speak with Folkes in connection with Hutchinson’s shooting.

The Chronicle has sought but has not yet received comment from the NYPD on the matter.
