On Thursday, May 23, the fifth-graders at PS 174Q, The William Sidney Mount School in Rego Park, enjoyed a wonderful experience at Citi Field on Education Day. Not only did they watch the Mets game, but before the game began, they had so much fun on the field level catching free T-shirts, seeing Mr. G from Channel 11 News and even seeing their teachers on the Jumbo Tron!

In the game itself, the Mets had one of their best wins of the season, when Carlos Gomez hit a three-run blast in the bottom of the eighth inning to propel the Amazins to a 6-4 win over their rivals, the Washington Nationals. The excited fans also met Mr. Met to top off such an amazing time at Citi Field!
