The holidays came a day early to PS 87 as the Middle Village school held its first Thanksgiving parade on Nov. 27.

Councilman Bob Holden served as the grand marshal and rode on a giant turkey.

Holden, top left, was joined by Principal Caryn Michaeli and district Superintendent Madeline Chan.

Students at the school ranging from prekindergarten through eighth grade got a break from classes and walked around the area outside the building.
