The Sing for Hope pianos that anyone may play are on the streets of New York City in 50 spots through June 23.

The piano for Juniper Valley Park, painted by Tatham Smith, arrived last Thursday.

Among those who sat down to try it out were Kathleen Fitzpatrick, left, who plays various instruments in clubs around the city focusing on mostly Irish tunes. Fitzpatrick’s friend, Daniel Horgan, far right, also played.

Jazz musician Andrew Kushner, center, happened to be walking by, saw the piano and played his own compositions.

Maxine Fisher, top, came prepared with her own sheet music by Bach.

Welcome to the discussion.
