Police are on the hunt for a man they say robbed another inside a Rego Park apartment building at the corner of 63rd Drive and 99th Street on Halloween.

According to authorities, the suspect walked into a 37-year-old man’s residence shortly after 9:30 a.m. and attempted to take a laptop.

When the victim tried to stop him, the suspect told him he had a gun and then punched him in the torso multiple times before fleeing.

The suspect is described as a black man between 20 and 30 years old. He stands approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a tan jacket, blue jeans and tan work boots. He also has tattoos on his neck and chest.

The NYPD sent a photo of a possible suspect to media outlets on Nov. 4, but rescinded the image on Tuesday. The department said that its investigation had ruled out that individual as a person of interest.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1 (800) 577-8477.
