Man nabbed over 13 Queens robberies, second suspect wanted

A Brooklyn man was busted around 6:30 a.m. on July 6 for allegedly being one of two men who committed 13 robberies in Queens over a span of five days this month, the NYPD said.

Timothy Lane, 19, of Pacific Street was arrested on 13 counts of first-degree robbery.

His accomplice, who remains at large, is described as a 5-foot-8 black male who is around 25 years old and weighs around 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white tank-top with black trim, black shorts with white stripes and white sneakers.

It was reported to police that on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at approximately 11:30 p.m., a 26-year-old male victim was walking on the corner of 82nd Street and 58th Avenue, when two unidentified males approached the victim and displayed a firearm. The males demanded the victim to lay on the ground before removing his cellphone and wallet. The males fled in unknown direction. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

It was reported to police that on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at approximately 11:40 p.m., a 18-year-old male victim and a 17-year-old male victim were walking westbound on Eliot Avenue, when two males approached the victims from behind. One of the males displayed a firearm and demanded the victim's wallets before fleeing on foot southbound on 69th Place. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

It was reported that on Monday, July 2, 2018 at approximately 12:35 a.m., a 23-year-old male victim was walking in the rear of Travers Park located at 33-16 79th Street, when two males approached the victim, displayed a firearm before removing his cellphone and wallet. The males fled in a vehicle northbound on 78th Street towards Northern Boulevard. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

It was reported to police that on Monday, July 2, 2018 at approximately 12:50 a.m., a 60-year-old male victim was walking in front 30-12 75th Street when two males pulled over next to the victim in a grey vehicle, brandished a black firearm. One male went through the victim's pockets while the other removed his wallet containing $150. The males fled southbound on 75th Street towards 31st Ave in the grey vehicle. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

It was reported to police that on Monday, July 2, 2018 at approximately 1:30 a.m., a 57-year-old male victim was walking on the corner of 156th Street and Hollywood Avenue. One of the males went into the victim's pockets and removed $30 and credit cards before fleeing in unknown direction. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

It was reported to police that on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at approximately 9:05 p.m., a 54-year-old male victim was in front of 21-30 79th Street when two males approached the victim, displayed a black firearm and demanded his wallet & cellphone. The victim complied and the individuals fled with $20. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

It was reported to police that on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at approximately 9:40 p.m., a 52-year-old male victim was in front of 33-29 71st Street, when two unidentified males approached the victim, displayed a black firearm and demanded his wallet containing $100. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

It was reported to police that on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at approximately 9:45 p.m., a 35-year-old male victim was walking opposite of 34-41 77th Street, when two males approached the victim, simulated a firearm and attempted to remove his property from his pockets. The victim managed to run away and the males fled southbound on 77th Street. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.  

It was reported to police that on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at approximately 10:02 p.m., a 34-year-old male victim was in front of 25-40 78th Street, when two males approached the victim, displayed a firearm and removed the victim's wallet  before fleeing in a grey vehicle to unknown direction. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident. 

It was reported that on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at approximately 10:05 p.m., a 40-year-old male was walking at the corner of 30th Avenue and 72nd Street, when two males approached the victim, displayed a silver firearm and demanded his property. The victim complied and the males fled in a Honda Accord northbound on 72nd Street with the victim's cellphone and jewelry. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.   

It was reported to police that on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at approximately 10:40 p.m., a 29-year-old male victim and a 24-year-old female victim were walking on the northwest corner of Crocheron Avenue and 166th Street, when two males approach them from behind, displayed a firearm and demanded the victim's wallet. The males fled in a 4-door silver vehicle. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

It was reported to police that on Thursday, July 5 at approximately 10:42 p.m., a 25-year-old female victim and a 27-year-old male victim were walking in front of 157-36 26th Avenue when two males approached and engaged them in a conversation. The males demanded the victim's wallet and cellphone while displaying a black firearm. When the victims complied, the males fled in a gray Nissan eastbound on 26th Avenue. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.   

 

It was reported to police that on Thursday, July 5 at approximately 11:05 p.m., a 19-year-old male victim was walking on the southwest corner of Crocheron Avenue and & 171st Street when two males approached the victim from behind, pointed a black firearm in his face and demanded his property. The victim had no money in his wallet and the males threw the wallet back at him before fleeing eastbound on Crocheron Avenue in a 4-door sedan. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.
