The 15th annual Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day will serve up musical aces Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers on Aug. 28 at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing.
The event will kick off the 2010 U.S. Open, which starts Aug. 30 and runs through Sept. 12.
Some of the world’s top ranked tennis players including Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, Kim Clijsters and Novak Djokovic will show off their skills inside Arthur Ashe stadium as well.
Kids will be able to compete in free challenges such as the Hess Express Obstacle Course, IBM Hit the Spot!, Olympus Capture it All and World Team Tennis for prizes throughout the day. They will even be able to hit with some tennis pros.
Tickets for the Jonas Brothers’ Arthur Ashe Stadium show can be purchased through Ticketmaster (1-866-OPEN-TIX), usopen.org, and at the box office at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Tickets are $10 to sit in the promenade section and $20 to sit in the loge section.
Music will be played throughout the day by bands such as Allstar Weekend, School Gyrls and Alexis Jordan.
