Exhibits

“Yard,” a new exhibit at the Socrates Sculpture Park, Broadway and Vernon Blvd., in Long Island City will run now through Aug. 3. Open from 10 a.m. to sunset.

Queens Jewels, A History of Queens Parks, will be presented by the Queens Historical Society, Kingsland Homestead, Weeping Beech Park, 143-35 37 Ave., Flushing on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 2:30-4:30pm now through Sept. 21.

National Art League’s annual Children’s Art Exhibition will be held now through June 27 at the National Art League, 44-21 Douglaston Pkwy., Douglaston, Monday-Thursday and Saturday, 1:30-4:30pm. Admission is free.

Nam Van Tran Solo Exhibition will run now through June 29 at the Crystal Window and Door Systems, 31-10 Whitestone Exprwy., Flushing. Gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays, 10am-5pm.

Theatre

Beari Productions presents “The Best of Magical, Musical Moments” at Trinity Lutheran Church, 63-70 Dry Harbor Rd., Middle Village, Thursday, June 19 at 8pm, Fridays, June 20 and 27 at 8pm, Saturdays, June 21 and 28 at 8pm and Sunday, June 29 at 4pm. The History of Oakland Lake will be held on Wednesday, June 25 at the Flushing Library, 41-17 Main St. A slide-illustrated talk by APEC Education Director Aline Euler will explore the geological and historical past of this kettle lake, which is part of Alley Pond Park.

The Red Tailer Urban Park Ranger Explorer Program presents a nature hike at Alley Pond Park, at 1pm at the UPR Adventure Center on Saturday, June 21.

SNAP of Eastern Queens, 80-45 Winchester Blvd. (Bldg. 4 on the Creedmoor campus), Queens Village, announces the beginning of a new Bereavement Group for seniors who have experienced the recent death of a spouse or child.
