Dear Editor:

I am writing in response to a beautiful letter to the editor that appeared in the Queens Chronicle on May 22. It was entitled “Fond fair memories” and written by Barbara S. Glassman of Sunnyside. I was very moved by Ms. Glassman’s words.

My mother took my sister and me to the World’s Fair in the summer of 1965. That day is one of my most beautiful childhood memories. Those third-graders in Brooklyn were lucky to have Ms. Glassman as their teacher. Her letter was a moving evocation of this special time and place and sense of wonder.

Please publish my letter in the Chronicle so Ms. Glassman will know how much her letter was appreciated. Ms. Glassman, please write a book so we can read more. Thank you.
