(NAPSI)—If giving a warm welcome to cooler weather and festive times with family and friends means turning up the heat in your house, there’s something you ought to know.

You may need to clean the air duct system. Air ducts and ventilation systems can get stuffed with dust, pet hair and other contaminants; an invitation to mold, vermin and bacteria.

The good news is that cleaning it can save you money. Research by the U.S. EPA has demonstrated that HVAC cleaning and removing debris from sensitive mechanical components may let systems run more efficiently. Clean, efficient systems are less likely to break down, have a longer life span and generally operate more effectively.

A professional heating and cooling system cleaning contractor can help, particularly if the company belongs to the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA), which tests the knowledge of contractors for safe and effective heating and cooling system cleaning.

Learn more and find certified Air Systems Cleaning Specialists at www.nadca.com.
