Due to the threat of traffic disruptions as a result of today’s May Day demonstrations, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority is reminding commuters that bus detours may be necessary along several routes traveling through lower Manhattan, including some express routes.  Customers heading home during the afternoon/evening rush are urged to plan for extra travel time.

Additionally, subways may experience delays due to crowding conditions. MTA customers should check mta.info prior to trips and keep tuned to local radio and television stations.Due to the threat of traffic disruptions as a result of today’s May Day demonstrations, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority is reminding commuters that bus detours may be necessary along several routes traveling through lower Manhattan, including some express routes.  Customers heading home during the afternoon/evening rush are urged to plan for extra travel time.
