SW Queens: NYPD seeks Maspeth bank robbery suspect

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and apprehending a man wanted for a bank robbery in Maspeth on  April 18.

Police said the man entered the branch of Maspeth Federal Savings Bank located at 56-18 69 St., at approximately 5:45 p.m.

He walked up to the window and passed the teller a note stating that he had a bomb and demanded money.

The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash. He stuffed the money into a Modell’s bag and fled south on foot along 69th Street toward Flushing Avenue.

The man is described as white, 18 to 20 years old and weighing 140 to 170 pounds. He was wearing sun glasses, a black baseball cap, a white, buttoned-down collared shirt and a dark-colored zippered jacket, with one white and black baseball batting glove on his right hand.
