Jamaica was rocked by a murder-suicide over the weekend, when a Dillon Street man killed his girlfriend before turning the gun on himself. The bodies were reportedly discovered by the woman's 2-year-old son.

Roxanne Lambert was killed by Everol Ellington sometime before 10:40 p.m. Sunday, when police arrived at the house. Lambert's toddler son, Kaiden, discovered the bodies and told his 16-year-old brother, RJ, who then ran to a neighbor's house. The neighbor then called the police, her daughter said.

“I didn’t hear anything," said another neighbor, Tanya Brown. "That’s what surprised everyone. No one heard anything.”'

Brown said the couple moved into the house about a year ago, and originally hailed from the island of Jamaica.

Such an incident occurring on her street alarms her, Brown added. “It makes me feel very nervous,” she said. “It’s very scary.”
