Police have arrested a Brooklyn man in connection with five robberies or attempted robberies at Queens banks since February.
Sidney Williams, 43, of Knickerbocker Avenue, was charged with three counts of third-degree robbery, according to a statement issued by the NYPD on Thursday.
The first robbery took place at 10:15 a.m. on Feb. 3 at 95-38 Queens Blvd. in Rego Park, where the man passed a note and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
In attempts on Feb. 14 at 47-11 Queens Blvd. in Long Island City and again on Feb. 23 at 104-17 Queens Blvd. in Forest Hills, the man fled without cash when tellers did not comply.
The latest took place at 11:25 a.m. on March 15 at a Chase Bank branch located at 66-02 Grand Ave. in Maspeth, where he received an undisclosed amount of cash.
