All customers, whatever they’re buying, hope to deal with an honest salesperson. The reality, though, is that too often a salesperson doesn’t care about helping the customer make an informed decision. Tom Dipietro, who with his son Chris, owns Auction Outlet of Jamaica, is not one of those. Dipietro not only promises high-quality materials for home improvement projects, but to be direct and honest with the customer.

Auction Outlet, now celebrating its 21st year, has all your home improvement needs, including all-wood interior and exterior doors and materials for floors, walls and kitchens.

While they excel in delivering high-quality materials for all your home needs, Dipietro says that kitchen cabinets are their specialty. They sell cabinets from the top makers, including Bruce, CNC, Forevermark, Major and Majestic. Auction Outlet deals with wood 99 percent of the time, promising to not substitute cheap knockoffs. In their own words, “No flakeboard, no masonite, no hardboard.”

“Kitchen cabinets are our main bread and butter,” said Dipietro.

Right now, he noted, one popular finish is espresso. “It’s very eclectic looking,” he said.

Also popular are the classics like cherry and maplewood.

A big box store might offer similar products, but Dipietro promises that unlike those, Auction Outlet of Jamaica, also known as Auction Outlet of Queens Village, makes customer service the top priority. “I cannot emphasize enough how important customer service is,” he said. “We walk the customer through anything, from the beginning of the project to the end.

“It doesn’t have to be shake his hand at the end of the sale and that’s it,” he added. “If you have a question, pick up the phone.”

Also unlike the big box stores, which might weigh down a customer with extra charges, Auction Outlet never does.

“Everything is legitimately discounted,” Dipietro said. “Customer service is the one thing that we can offer down to a personal level with the buyer.”

Even if something is not available, Dipietro will point you in the right direction for whatever kitchen materials you need.

“I’ll never steer you wrong. If I can’t get it for you, I will send you somewhere where you can get it, even if it is a competitor,” he said.

In celebration of their 21 years in business, Auction Outlet will be offering full kitchens at 20 percent off as a part of their March sales.

“People that come here, I take care of them,” Dipietro reiterated. “You want to create a relationship for the customer for life. I’ll never lie to you; I’ll always be honest.”

Auction Outlet of Jamaica is located at 215-10 Hempstead Ave. in Queens Village. They are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. They can be reached by phone at (718) 479-1200, by fax at (718) 479-1406 or by email at jackaheart@aol.com.
