It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Christmas is in the air in Flushing with the turning on of holiday lights along Main Street and adjacent streets by the Flushing Business Improvement District on Monday night. Macy’s Santa Claus and his elves were on hand to welcome shoppers along Roosevelt Avenue and after the holiday lighting ceremony, met with fans at a Christmas party at the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel. There was plenty of food and good cheer as youngsters celebrated the season with song.
