A 2010 Toyota Highlander was traveling eastbound on the Grand Central Parkway near exit 4 when it ran over a piece of metal in the roadway.

Then what seemed to be a minor accident soon escalated to a massive inferno, killing Dale Tulloch, 50, of Yonkers on Tuesday.

The ordeal was captured on video by YouTube user Joe Wozniak.

According to the NYPD, the piece of metal the vehicle hit caused an ignition of the gas tank.

The driver, a 26-year-old male, and a passenger, a 25-year-old female, were able to flee from the vehicle and were transported to the New York Hospital of Queens and are in stable condition.

Tulloch was found dead at the scene in the back seat after the FDNY extinguished the fire. An investigation is ongoing.
