On Tuesday at approximately 11:52 a.m., police responded to a report of a foul odor inside of apartment A10 located at 43-33 46 St. in Sunnyside.

Upon entering the apartment, the police discovered a 47-year-old Hispanic female and a 59-year-old white male unconscious and unresponsive in the living room.

EMS responded to the location and pronounced both dead at the scene.

Later it was revealed that Diana Rodriguez and Kevin Flannelly, who lived together in the apartment, were the victims.

According to the NYPD, there was no apparent trauma to either Flannelly or Rodriguez.

Police did not speculate as to how long the bodies had been laying in the apartment or if they believe the incident to have been an accident, a homicide or suicide.

There were no reports of damaged windows, doors or furniture.

The case is still under investigation and the Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause death in the coming days.
