After days struggling to stay alive, a woman shot in the head Monday night in Maspeth died Thursday, according to police.

Delilah Cordova, 21, was shot in an apartment on 64th Street, near 51st Avenue, and rushed to Elmhurst Hospital. She died of the gunshot wound, the police said.

In connection with the incident, police have arrested Elijah Stamateris, 22, who lives in the apartment. He was charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment. His first court appearance is on Nov. 15.

The Daily News reported that neighbors saw Cordova with at least two men before they heard a gunshot at around 9:30 p.m. "I f----d up. I think I'm going to jail," a witness overheard one of the men say on his phone before police arrived on the scene, according to the newspaper.
