Community leaders passed out fliers on Thursday morning in an effort to find the man who broke a woman’s nose in his attempt to sexually assault her.
The handouts were given to passersby at 61st Street and Roosevelt Avenue.
A Hispanic male approached a woman on his BMX-type bike at about 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 25 in Woodside. He proceeded to repeatedly strike her in the face.
The suspect then told the victim he would stop hitting her if she performed a criminal sex act on him, said NYPD. The victim broke free from his attacks and fled.
The suspect, who took off on his bike, is described as about 25 years old, 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs 155 to 170 pounds.
The victim was treated at Elmhurst hospital for a broken nose.
