The Careers Through Culinary Arts Program held its annual cooking competition for college scholarships on March 26 and almost half of the finalists were Queens public school students.

Out of 20, nine students who attended August Martin High School, Long Island City High School and other institutions made it to the final competition held at the Institute of Culinary Education.

The students were asked to prepare a two-course French meal made of hunter’s chicken with tourne potatoes and dessert crepes made with pastry cream and chocolate sauce. The competition results will be revealed on April 11.

Welcome to the discussion.
