An arrest was made in a matter of days after Cory Dixon, a 27-year-old Corona resident, was murdered right in his own neighborhood.

On Oct. 27 at approximately 3 a.m., officers received a 911 call of an individual shot.

Officers found Dixon with a gunshot wound to the torso in front of 96-04 57 Ave. in Corona, just feet away from his apartment building.

EMS responded and transported the victim to Elmhurst Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

About two days after Dixon was shot, police reported that they arrested Anton Harden, a 34-year-old from Corona who lived next door to Dixon.

The NYPD did not specify where they arrested Harden.

He has been charged with murder in the second degree and the criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

Information on why Harden shot Dixon nor whether the two knew one another was not available as of press time.
