Keller Williams Realty associates took the day off on Thursday, May 12, but it was hardly a day of rest. Associates with Keller Williams Realty Landmark II have chosen to “Give Where They Live” as part of RED Day, one of the biggest events in the real estate industry.

Short for “Renew, Energize and Donate,” RED Day was created to united Keller Williams Realty offices and associates in an international day of service.

As part of the RED Day effort, Keller Williams Realty Landmark II spent the day with Hour Children at 51-04 103 St. in Corona. Since 1986, Hour Children has provided services to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women and their families. Women come to Hour Children from New York State prison nurseries, many with an infant in their arms. They have no resources, few skills and minimal support. Hour Children provides these mothers with a place to live and an opportunity for a new life.

“This event is an entrenched part of Keller Williams Realty’s culture and displays the extraordinary effect a company can have when individuals come together to work as a team for the greater good of everyone,” said team leader, Chris Abazis. We can’t tell you what an impact it makes on each of us personally, it feels great to give back to the community we know and love.”

The Keller Williams Realty Jackson Heights Market Center, located in the strip mall at 75-35 31 Ave., is a full-service real estate firm with 60 sales associates.
