A crowd of shoppers and bargain hunters picked up fresh summer produce in Corona on Friday morning at a greenmarket held at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and 103rd Street.

The citywide Greenmarket Farmers Markets program is sponsored by GrowNYC, an initiative that seeks to give city residents more access to fresh fruit and vegetables while increasing the available markets for farmers in counties surrounding New York City.
