The Astoria-based Kaufman Studios electrician said he expected a delivery of marijuana, but wasn’t prepared for an amount suitable for the characters from “Dazed and Confused,” according to police.

An anti-crime team intercepted two large cardboard boxes at34-37 36 Ave. containing nine sealed plastic pouches of marijuana weighing about 10 pounds of pot last Thursday at 2:30 p.m. The return address is a UPS rental facility in California.

Lowell Schulman, 53, of Brooklyn, told officers that he had expected the marijuana, albeit a smaller amount, cologne and books. Upon further investigation, five plastic dime-bags containing crack-cocaine were recovered from Schulman's pants pocket.

Schulman was also the subject of an open warrant. He was apprehended without incident, arrested and charged with 10 counts of felony criminal possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
