Queens elected officials hit the field on Sunday in New York City’s first-ever Battle of the Boroughs Bowl at Monsignor McClancy High School in East Elmhurst.

The event brought together representatives from Queens and the Bronx for a friendly round of touch football.

Queens elected officials, clad in blue, include Council Members Leroy Comrie (D-St. Albans), Peter Vallone Jr. (D-Astoria), Mark Weprin (D-Oakland Gardens), Ruben Wills (D-Jamaica), Jimmy Van Bramer (D-Sunnyside), Assemblyman Michael Den Dekker (D-Jackson Heights), State Sen. Mike Gianaris (D-Astoria) and Jose Peralta (D-East Elmhurst) and Comptroller John Liu.

After an intense game, the Bronx came out on top, winning the game by one point.

All proceeds went towards the United Service Organizations and the Wounded Warriors Project.

Welcome to the discussion.
