The Court Square Subway Station Complex opened April 2.
The stop is not only more convenient, but saves commuters transferring at the station an extra MetroCard swipe. The completed two escalators, three elevators, three stairways and seven mezzanines allow passengers to walk between the 7 train and the E, G and M trains without walking outside. These improvements impact about 20,000 travelers each weekday, according to MTA.
Metropolitan Transportation Authority employees and community officials tried out the new escalators on April 3.
