PS 76 in Long Island City, the William Hallett Magnet School of Health and Wellness, hosted guest speakers from all over the tri-state area on June 6 for the school’s annual Career Day.

The speakers had the chance to go to four different classrooms to describe what their jobs entail and take questions. There were also outdoor visitors including members of the Mounted Police, Highway Patrol, Transit K-9 and Engine 260 of the FDNY.

Among the guest speakers were Det. Paul Byrne, center, and Det. Scott Velazquez of the NYPD, joined here by PS 76 teacher Lauren Cohen, who organized the event.

Welcome to the discussion.
