Bank robber causes ‘tension’

Police are searching for a suspect who robbed six banks in different parts of the city last week. The white man is 5 feet 8 inches tall, 180 pounds and has the word “tension” tattooed on the back of his neck.

His first stop was in Staten Island on July 22 at 10:55 a.m. at a Northfield Bank. He took an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled. The next day he went to Brooklyn where he stole from a Chase Bank at 4:20 p.m. He returned the next day, July 24, to the same location at roughly the same time, 4:25 p.m., and fled with more money.

On July 25, the suspect wasn’t so lucky. He entered the Citibank at 51-10 Metropolitan Ave. in Ridgewood at 9:50 a.m. This was the only one of the six banks from which he did not leave with any money.

The next day, on July 26 at 11:41 a.m. the suspect entered theCitibank at 87-11 Queens Blvd.in Elmhurst. He fled with money and went to theHSBC Bank at 87-03 Queens Blvd. inForest Hills where he stole more cash.
