Police arrested Angel Recalde, 43, last Thursday for attempting to abduct two girls in Corona in separate incidents on Jan. 25, according to NYPD.
Recalde, of Flushing, was charged with two counts of luring a child to commit a crime, endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of harassment.
At about 7 a.m. the suspect allegedly pulled up alongside a girl, 13, at Northern Boulevard and 102nd Street in his black Cadillac Escalade. He called out to her and attempted to engage her in conversation.
When she realized she didn’t know the man, she walked away. At that point the suspect allegedly exited his SUV and approached her from behind and grabbed her arm, police say. The victim pulled her arm away and ran from the man.
That same day at 8 p.m. the suspect allegedly attempted to lure a second girl into his Escalade. According to police, the man approached the girl at Northern Boulevard and Parsons Boulevard. He motioned her to come close to the vehicle. When she refused he followed her. The victim then fled the scene.
